The remembrance book user guide
The book has been specially
designed so making an entry is easily done. It
offers the
opportunity to
create a
much more
personal
and lasting
testament
than normal online
obituary services. The real beauty of this
wonderful remembrance book is that it also
allows
for family and friends to add
their own thoughts and messages to the original
entry. We believe this will be very comforting
for the person that made the actual entry and
could help a whole group of family and friends
benefit from using the book.
You are welcome
to make as many entries in the book as you wish,
this book is not reserved for just the recently
deceased. Once you have created a members
account you can use the same account to make
multi listings.
Making a new entry
To make a new
entry in the remembrance book you are required
to set up a member
account. This is to safeguard the book and
your entries from abuse. Once you have set up a
member account you are advised to
login each time
you visit the site. This will allow you to
perform options that are reserved only for
members.
When logged in
you can:
-
make new
entries in the remembrance
book
-
click your
entry picture to change it or

Use the
new entry form to add
new entries to the book.
The form is
divided in to separate parts. Use the first part
to add personal details about the deceased and
the second part to add you own messages, poems
and condolences.
Uploading your images
You have the
option when making a new entry to upload your
own image or leave this space blank and the
default picture will be added to your book
entry.
At the moment the
maximum image size you can upload is 150k.
However we would strongly advise you to resize
your own pictures and reduce the file size as
much as you can. Large file sizes will only slow
the site down for everyone and increase the
running costs of this free site.
Condolences
Whenever a guest
leaves condolences you will be sent an auto
email to inform you of the fact. As the creator
of the original book entry you will have the
option to edit or delete any condolence messages
left if you so wish. This we hope will allow
everyone to monitor and safeguard their own book
entries.
We have deliberately left
the option to leave condolences open to anyone
visiting the site. However with any open guest
book of this type, there is always going to be a
small risk that pranksters and small minded
people will leave the odd hoax or abusive
message. In the rare occasion that this happens
please just delete the entry and use the
contact form
to advise us of the
incident. We will do everything we can to
investigate the matter.
